More than half of adults in addiction treatment have a co-occurring mental health condition. Valley Spring is dual-licensed by New Jersey for both substance use disorder and mental health treatment, so both conditions are treated simultaneously by the same clinical team — not sequentially or in separate programs. Within the first 24 hours of PC intake, clients receive a full biopsychosocial assessment and psychiatric evaluation. CBT, DBT, EMDR, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care are integrated into treatment alongside MAT when clinically indicated.
