Similar to Nosotros, the program uses the MAAC alcohol and recovery model to integrate gender and cultural differences into a blend of successful substance abuse treatment services. They bond, encourage each other, and receive comprehensive services that include individual and group counseling, educational workshops, and workforce training. The program treats women with compassion while providing a healing environment to address any personal challenges and trauma to achieve sobriety in a family-like setting. Participants also enjoy recreational activities at the residence while on their road to recovery. These interventions provide a strengths-based approach to treatment and skill building with an emphasis on self-reliance. Casa De Milagrosβ goal is to enable women to become sober/drug-free, independent, and positive members of their community.
