After enduring 35 years of addiction and serving four prison sentences, I reached a pivotal moment of surrender and joined the Hope Is Alive program. Throughout those years, I worked as a professional hairdresser and maintained a strong work ethic, yet I felt spiritually depleted. My primary sources of solace were drugs and alcohol. Since becoming part of the Hope Is Alive program, I have not only joined the staff but have also celebrated two years of fulfilling work here. My relationship with the Lord has never been as strong or enriching as it is now, especially while collaborating with dedicated volunteers within the program. I am proud to say that I now own my own home and car, am free from debt, and have a supportive church and alumni community to rely on.
