Kasia began her career and passion for substance use and mental health in 2008 as an entry level counselor at Haymarket Center in Chicago. Kasia obtained her Bachelor Degree in Arts with a Major in Social Work from Northeastern Illinois University and her Masters in Social Work from University of Illinois in Chicago. She is also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. In 2015, she joined Gateway Foundation β Springfield as a Clinical Supervisor. In 2018, Kasia was part of a team that launched the opening of Gateway Foundation β Jacksonville facility. She currently serves as a Program Director and directly oversees that site. She believes in multiple pathways to recovery and incorporates that in her day-to-day work with patients and a mother herself, her drive is to help people on the journey back to their families. Kasiaβs passion is teambuilding, mentorship and motivational interviewing as she serves as a Motivational Interviewing Trainer for Central Illinois Gateway facilities.
